Sergio Rodríguez Gómez (PhD candidate, Comunicación, Lenguajes e Información, Pontificia Universidad Javeriana) will discuss the role of visual thinking in cybernetics through the sketches, simulations, visual metaphors, technical images, data visualizations and even doodles used by biologists Humberto Maturana and Francisco Varela to communicate their theories on autopoiesis, natural drift, structural coupling, emergence, and enactivism.
