Dr. Elena Kopteva, Visiting Research Scientist, Dept of Physics and Illinois Scholar at Risk at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign will present the first talk in the Illinois Global Institute Speaker Series "The Global Impacts of the War in Ukraine". Lunch provided for registered in-person attendees. Dr. Kopteva will discuss the profound- and in many ways devastating- impact of the war on her family both immediate and extended.
