"Rethinking Culture in Social Interactions: Invoked Identities and/or Invisible Structural Frame?" Communication as a field often conceptualizes culture as a fixed, invisible, yet omnipresent factor shaping individuals' decision-making. However, if individuals can have multiple, layered identities that we invoke through social interactions and performances, can people do the same with their cultural views?
