Israel Institute Visiting Scholar, Liat Maggid Alon, will present a work in progress based on her extensive research on the history of Jews in Egypt.
Liat Maggid Alon is an Israel Institute Visiting Scholar in the Program in Jewish Culture & Society and the Department of History during the 2019-2020 academic year. Maggid Alon is a historian of the modern Middle East with expertise in women, gender, and family, especially the Jewish community of Egypt. Maggid Alon earned a Ph.D. from Ben-Gurion University of the Negev.
