Join us for this semester's CHP Field Trip! We will again hear the Chicago Symphony Orchestra live in concert in Symphony Center on Michigan Avenue. The show will feature sensational teen Himari as she illuminates Bruch's First Violin Concerto in her CSO subscription debut. Blacknificent 7 composer Joel Thompson's To See the Sky and Mozart's electrifying Jupiter Symphony frame the program.

We will meet at the Honors House for coffee, juice, and donuts at 8:00am on Sunday, February 15 and travel by comfy and wifi-inclusive Peoria Charter Bus to downtown Chicago. We'll attend an informal pre-concert conversation in Symphony Center and then hear the concert. Afterwards we'll have dinner at nearby Pizano's. We'll be back on campus in the late evening.

Transportation, concert ticket, and dinner are provided by the CHP. You only need to bring a sack lunch, a water bottle, and money for incidental expenses.

CHP staff members will join you, and we'll bring plenty of snacks for the bus too.

Seats are limited, so register soon. If this event is full when you try to register, please email chp@illinois.edu to be placed on the waitlist.
