Title: Rational Torsion of Drinfeld Modules
Abstract: Starting from Mazur’s theorem on elliptic curves, I will introduce the torsion conjecture for Drinfeld modules. I will discuss the role of modular curves, survey known results, and outline a classification approach to the conjecture. No prior knowledge of Drinfeld modules will be assumed.
