Title: (Gap) Distribution of Sequences

Abstract: The study of the distribution of sequences has been around about as long as analytic number theory has; most of us are familiar with the Prime Number Theorem or the vertical distribution of the zeros of the Riemann zeta function. We can also questions such as: is a sequence uniformly distributed? How uniformly distributed? Beyond studying the 'global' distribution of sequences, one can also 'zoom in' and study the gap distributions of sequences. In this expository talk I will define what is meant by the gap distribution of a sequence, and give examples of both global and gap distributions of various sequences occurring in number theory.
