About the Illinois 3D Mesonet

The new Illinois 3D Mesonet is a collaborative endeavor and shared position between the Department of Climate & Atmospheric Sciences and the Prairie Research Institute.

The Mesonet will expand the Illinois State Water Survey's Illinois Climate Network of existing weather monitoring stations while incorporating autonomous vehicles and advanced sensing technologies to collect a comprehensive suite of three-dimensional environmental observations—from soil to atmosphere.

Join us to hear Erin Grossi's vision for advancing environmental monitoring, data integration, and innovation through the Illinois 3D Mesonet.

All interested faculty, staff, students, and stakeholders are encouraged to attend.
