The 7th Midwest Single-Molecule Workshop will bring together scientists at all career stages from across the Midwest and beyond to share cutting-edge advances in single-molecule biophysics. The workshop aims to support the growth of a vibrant single-molecule research community in the Midwest.
This two-day event will feature a dynamic program of invited lectures, trainee short talks, poster sessions, and a keynote presentation, covering both experimental and theoretical approaches applied to systems ranging from individual molecules to whole cells. Continuing the tradition of rotating among Midwestern universities, the 2026 workshop will be held at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
The workshop will take place the same week as a MINFLUX workshop at Illinois, enabling super-resolution hands-on activities by attendees who want to participate in both.
