"Living with Algorithms" is presented by Ignacio Siles, professor of media and technology studies at Universidad de Costa Rica. He will share research on the use of algorithmic platforms like Netflix, Spotify, and TikTok in an understudied region of the global south (Costa Rica). He developed a framework of “mutual domestication” by examining personal relationships that formed between users and algorithms.
