Co-sponsored by the Center for Social and Behavioral Science (CSBS) and the Cancer Center at Illinois (CCIL), the Cancer Research Symposium aims to unite researchers across the Illinois campus interested in research addressing aspects of the cancer care continuum.
This in-person event will feature keynote speakers, Drs. Salma Shariff-Marco and Virginia Sun. There will also be two breakout discussions on social determinants of health and cancer and patient and family-level cancer interventions, followed by a discussion with CSBS and CCIL Directors on cancer research funding opportunities in the social and behavioral science space. A light breakfast, refreshments, and lunch will be served.
