Generalized TMDs (GTMDs) of hadrons are the most general two-parton correlation functions. Since a very long time, it was questionable if at all these can be measured in experiments. However, the situation has drastically changed in the last few years. In the first part of this talk, we give a brief overview of the various developments that has taken place, including, in particular, the state-of-the-art of observables for these quantities. In the second part of this talk, we address the burning question of, "How to access the orbital angular momentum of partons through GTMDs in experiments?"
