Dr. Coen Wijdicks will highlight innovative technologies and novel approaches in anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) reconstruction surgery. He also will discuss the impact of research and metrics on driving advancements in this common orthopedic surgery.
Coen A. Wijdicks, PhD, is the director of orthopedic research at Arthrex, Inc., a pioneer in the field of arthroscopy and minimally invasive orthopedics. Dr. Wijdicks leads a global team with specializations in the fields of biomechanics, biomaterials, and clinical research. His team supports more than 300 ongoing research initiatives. Dr. Wijdicks holds a B.S. degree from Colorado State University, an M.S. degree from Rush University Graduate College, and a doctoral degree from the University of Oslo. He has published more than 140 peer-reviewed scientific articles and presented scores of abstracts to national and international meetings.
