Please join us for an afternoon discussion with Anthropology Professor Andrew Orta as he talks about his latest book, “Making Global MBAs: The Culture of Business and the Business of Culture.”

The event will be held in the Author’s Corner of the Illini Bookstore. Professors Gisela Sin and Emanuel Rota will interview Andrew Orta about his book, “Making Global MBAs,” with a audience Q&A and book signing to follow. Light refreshments will be served.

Andrew Orta is a professor of anthropology, and interim director of the Center for Latin American and Carribean Studies. His latest book, “Making Global MBAs: The Culture of Business and the Business of Culture” is based on extensive field research in several leading US business schools. Prof. Orta examines the culture of MBA training for what it may tell us about contemporary capitalism in the context of globalization.
