Abstract:

Although observations of exoplanets at intermediate wavelengths are booming, their detection and study at radio frequencies are still in the early stages. Despite the challenges, the observational techniques relevant at long wavelengths could provide new avenues for planetary characterization and could allow studies of, for example, the misalignment between the planet’s magnetic field and rotational axis or the starspots of its host. In this talk, I will give an overview of the current techniques for exoplanet detection at long wavelengths.
