Coffee Across Cultures Hour is a monthly gathering that brings people together over coffee, tea, and pastries to explore global traditions and the diverse ways communities connect through shared rituals. Each session centers on a unique theme that opens space for conversation, storytelling, and cross-cultural exchange, celebrating the richness of perspectives and practices from around the world.
Take a refreshing break from the end-of-semester rush and join us for a cozy December session created in collaboration with the Counseling Center. This month’s theme focuses on practical strategies for making meaningful connections and building your own support system here at Illinois. Through a blend of short presentations, guided conversation, and light activities, we’ll explore how different cultures understand friendship and cope with isolation, especially during busy and overwhelming times. To help you unwind, we’ll also have board games and crafting materials available, offering a relaxed and welcoming space to connect, recharge, and share a warm moment together. Free and open to all!
