There is a widespread belief that public opinion polls failed to predict the outcome of the 2016 Presidential Election in the United States and fears that the 2020 polls and predictions will fare no better. In this presentation we'll look recap the 2016 election predictions and polls, look at the 2020 predictions and polls, and evaluate how well or poorly different data collection methods worked to predict the 2020 Presidential election outcome. Even if the Presidential election outcome is not known by November 6th, we will be able to make some educated guesses based on the evidence compiled and come up with recommendations for improvements.
