Are you a PhD student in the humanities seeking to find out more about careers beyond the tenure track? Or a faculty member interested in learning about career diversity opportunities for graduate students? The Humanities Without Walls Career Diversity Summer Workshop will be held in Ann Arbor, Michigan from June 17 - July 1, 2022. You can find out more about the workshop by attending this alumni roundtable and information session on September 9, 2021, at 12pm Central time.

Now in its seventh iteration, the Humanities Without Walls Career Diversity Summer Workshop is an intensive experience aimed to prepare doctoral students in humanities or humanistic social science disciplines for careers both in and beyond the academy. It will be hosted this coming summer by the University of Michigan Institute for the Humanities in Ann Arbor, MI. The CFA is now live and can be found here, along with more information: https://lsa.umich.edu/humanities/news-events/all-news/search-news/call-for-applications--2022-hww-national-predoctoral-career-dive.html

Join us on September 9th to hear our alumni reflect on their experience with HWW and how it has shaped their career trajectories. This roundtable discussion will be followed by a Q&A about the workshop and the application process.

Our alumni panelists are:

Belquis Elhadi, PhD Candidate in American Culture at the University of Michigan, HWW alumna 2021

Dr. Traci-Ann Wint, Assistant Professor of Africana Studies at Smith College and HWW alumna, 2017

Dr. Sara Thiel, Associate Editor at Built In and HWW alumna, 2016
