Artists Sarah Marjanovic and Heather Sandy share their understanding of the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic through art as a means to seek control amongst the unknown. The relationship between Marjanovic’s abstractions and Sandy’s representations symbolizes the dichotomies of abstract versus concrete realities microscopic vs macroscopic, and control versus chaos. Their artwork serves as a historical documentation of the pandemic and as a catalyst for change.
Visit the opening gallery reception on Thursday, December 2nd from 4:30-6:30pm. Stop by for a chance to meet the artists, plus free snacks and refreshments.
