In this brown bag presentation, I will be sharing my dissertation research findings. Growing up, I had often heard that menstruation is a stigmatized topic; my research tackles this question by making meaning of what this means for Pakistani people, in connection with our histories as colonized people.
Urooba is a PhD Candidate in Anthropology, with a sub-specialty in Biological Anthropology. Her research interests are in critical menstruation studies and how lack of conversations impact menstrual health for menstruating people. She is a collaborator on BLEEDVax (Clancy Lab) and Global Ethnohydrology Study (Arizona State University).
