Dr. Gribkova's research is currently focused on computational models of behavior, memory and neuroplasticity. In particular, she develops models of artificial intelligence that are founded upon the evolutionary and neural principles of behavior.
Research Interests and Projects:
• Computational models of behavior, such as Cyberslug and ASIMOV, built on core circuitry of approach/avoidance decision. I am expanding ASIMOV further for more complex spatial learning and memory, and more abstract cognitive mapping.
• Models of memory and neuroplasticity, such as SITDL, including simplest architectures for episodic memory and path integration, and their application to artificial intelligence.
• Octopus behavioral and physiological studies for CyberOctopus collaborative project, as well as modeling of octopus arm circuitry and 3D octopus environments.
