Neurochemicals are fundamental to communication between neurons. However, most of them remain “invisible” because we lack tools to monitor their dynamics in real time. This seminar will discuss recently developed fluorescent sensors for dopamine, serotonin, and oxytocin, and how they provided new molecular insights into how neurochemicals underlie behaviors and diseases.
