Dean Haacker is currently Senior Director, IT, for Motorola's $20 billion Mobile Devices business. His responsibilities include leading Strategy, Architecture, Quality, Compliance, Program Management, Portfolio Management, Resource Management, Supplier Management and Financial Management for a $300 million IT organization.
Dean previously led Motorola's Corporate IT Supplier Management team. He managed more than $500 million of annual spend and drove critical negotiations with global vendors. Dean's team won the 2004 Corporate Negotiations Challenge sponsored by the International Association for Contract and Commercial Management.
At Motorola, Dean founded Motorola's breakthrough e-Procurement program, called TIGERS, which delivered over $1 billion in cost savings and process improvements to Motorola since 1999. Dean also led marketing and business development for Mobile Commerce solutions for Motorola's enterprise and carrier customers around the world. Dean managed a product portfolio that included Mobile Banking, Stock Trading and Supply Chain solutions on a variety of mobile phones in the early days of the mobile Internet.
Dean is a distinguished graduate of Arizona State University with a major in business information systems and is an advisor to the Center for Information Technology and e-Business Management at the University of Illinois in Champaign-Urbana.
