Through the BRIDGE ‘Signature Initiative’, the University of Birmingham (Birmingham) and the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign (Illinois) will provide seed funding for collaborative projects focused on sustainability, in the lead-up to COP30 in Brazil, November 2025. The aim is to support teams from Birmingham and Illinois to work with researchers in the Global South to prepare impactful briefing papers, on how Climate Action and Sustainable Development must be accelerated to put the world on track to meet the Paris and Sustainable Development Goals.
