In this roundtable on Arts and Asian Americans in a Changing Society, panelists will talk about topics they think important to our understanding of Arts and Asian American identity and community in the U.S., from their specialty field and/or personal experiences. The goal is to pursue an understanding of how museums can play an active role in eliminating the stereotype of Asian Americans in contemporary society through exhibitions and programs. This panel on art and museums will contribute tremendously to increasing awareness of art’s significance in cross-cultural understanding between people and the identity reconstruction of Asian Americans.
