Aerospace Engineering will celebrate its 75th anniversary over the 2019-2020 academic year. AE administrative staff is working to create a year-long celebration that will include many new events alongside some annual ones.
One of the events we’re working to transform is our annual tailgate on September 21. This year we’ll be tailgating with the President’s Office giving our department an invaluable opportunity to increase exposure to our alumni, University donors, University administration, and the public – not to mention the upscale accommodations we’ll enjoy. We’re asking all RSOs to participate in the tailgate by having an AE open house just outside the tent. Since this is also the weekend of our Alumni Board meeting this will replace any exhibit/demonstration you typically do for the board. This will be your opportunity to showcase what your group does to the AE Alumni Board, University Administration, and University donors as well as the general public. The game time has not been announced yet, but RSOs would be expected to be set up and ready two and a half hours prior to the game.
