The Intercultural Spotlight Series is a monthly program that highlights the rich cultural diversity of our global Illinois community. Each session features students, scholars, or registered student organizations who share personal stories, traditions, and insights connected to their home country or cultural heritage.

Designed as an educational and community-building initiative, the series encourages meaningful intercultural dialogue and strengthens global understanding across campus. Attendees may come with little or no prior knowledge of the featured culture, making each Spotlight an open invitation to learn, reflect, and engage in authentic cross-cultural exchange. The featured region for October is Scandinavia, hosted in partnership with the Scandinavia Club, a new RSO on campus.
