This session focuses on applying intercultural awareness and skills to everyday academic, professional, and community contexts. Participants will reflect on how culture shapes interactions, decision-making, and relationships, and explore practical ways to continue developing intercultural competence over time. Students who have attended earlier sessions will have an opportunity to synthesize insights from across the series, while those attending for the first time will engage with core concepts and strategies that can be applied immediately. This session emphasizes intercultural learning as an ongoing, lifelong process.

The workshop will be held in person on Tuesday, May 5, from 1:00 - 1:50 p.m. CST in the Campus Instructional Facility (CIF) (1405 W Springfield Ave, Urbana, IL 61801); Room 2018.

Registration is required, so secure your spot now! Open to all students.

About GROW: Global and Intercultural Readiness Workshops
GROW Workshops help students build the knowledge, skills, and confidence needed to engage successfully across cultures. Through interactive activities, group dialogue, real-world case studies, and guided reflection, students explore how cultural differences influence communication, collaboration, and everyday university life.

GROW Workshops are open to all students—international and domestic—who want to strengthen their intercultural competence and global readiness. Sessions build on one another, but participants are welcome to attend any session and are encouraged to attend as many as possible for the full learning experience.
