Abstract
Currently, there is a growing movement against standardized testing in education, which has presented tremendous challenges for graduate schools how to prepare future psychometric researchers. The presentation starts with a brief historic review on the anti-standardized testing movement in China during the Cultural Revolution and its unimaginable damage to the country. The focus of the presentation is to discuss emerging challenges in education today and how psychometric research can greatly help.
