Join us on Tuesday, June 30 from noon to 1 p.m. for the Power Skills Series - Personal Finance 101 - Spend Smarter, Build Credit, Stay Safe with Liz Welch of the University of Illinois Community Credit Union. All Research Park events are free; however, registration is required at least 24 hours in advance for this popular event to ensure that we have adequate seating and food for all participants.
Starting your career comes with real money decisions, this session keeps it simple and practical. We’ll break down the 50/30/20 spending plan, what actually makes up your credit score, and the scams targeting young professionals right now. You’ll leave with real-life tips you can start using immediately.
Liz Welch is a Certified Financial Coach and the Associate Director of Partnership Program at the U of I Community Credit Union. Liz is passionate about enhancing financial literacy and empowering individuals on their financial journeys. As a Certified Financial Coach, Liz leverages her expertise to support both partners and community members in achieving their financial goals. Having grown up in the community she now serves, Liz brings a deep understanding of the importance of financial education and is committed to making a meaningful impact.
