The virtual panel "Navigating Scholarly Publishing: Scholars' Insights into the Author-Publisher Relationship" is free and open to all. In this online discussion, four Illinois scholars will share their experiences interacting with academic publishers and getting their work published. The featured panelists have published books and scholarly articles and have edited books and academic journals. Their insights can give other scholars and graduate students a better idea of all that publishing entails.

Each panelist will give a 20-minute presentation followed by a combined 10-minute Q&A session at the end.

- Steve Witt (Editor, IFLA Journal; Head, International and Area Studies Library & Director, Center for Global Studies)
- Antonio Sotomayor (Historian & Librarian of Latin American and Caribbean Studies)
- Mara Wade (Professor & Director of Graduate Studies, Department of Germanic Languages and Literatures)
- Lydia Nguyen (PhD Candidate & Graduate Research Assistant, Neuroscience Program)
