A Director’s Panel on February 14, 2018 will be chaired by Dean James D. Anderson, Dean of the College of Education and a long-time member of the University of Illinois Press Faculty Board, to kick-off the centennial celebrations at U of I. Laurie Matheson will engage in a mediated conversation with two previous Press directors, Willis Regier and Richard Wentworth, to discuss the Press’s decades-long commitment to supporting scholarship on social justice issues and publishing underrepresented voices and histories. The panel will be followed by a reception. Attendees will also have the opportunity to view the public history exhibit in the Main Library’s North-South Corridor and talk with the University of Illinois Press staff and library staff who helped bring the exhibit to life.
