Open peer review is one of the initiatives of the open access movement. There is no universal definition for open peer review and its characteristics may be implemented in several scholarly journals to compose an open peer review model. This workshop will introduce you to the terminology, definitions, and characteristics of open peer review, including the pros and cons, and challenges to acceptance and implementation by the scientific community.
