You are invited to a tribute to Dara Goldman, professor of Spanish and director of the Program in Jewish Culture and Society. It will consist of the dedication of the Dara E. Goldman Collection in the Spanish and Portuguese Departmental Library and the Rosenthal Lecture, presented by author Achy Obejas. A reception will immediately follow the lecture.

Speaker Achy Obejas will be giving an appreciation from afar of Dara's living, breathing axis of inclusion. Achy Obejas is the author of Boomerang/BumerĂ¡n, an unique and inspiring bilingual collection of poetry written in a bold, mostly gender-free English and Spanish that addresses immigration, displacement, love and activism. She also authored The Tower of the Antilles, which was a PEN/Faulkner finalist, among other honors.
