Einav Rabinovitch-Fox teaches U.S and women’s and gender history at Case Western Reserve University. Her research examines the connections between fashion, politics, and modernity, particularly how visual and material culture have shaped and reflected class, gender, and racial identities. Her book, "Dressed for Freedom: The Fashionable Politics of American Feminism" explores women’s political uses of clothing and appearance to promote feminist agendas during the long 20th century. Her writing has been published in the Journal of Women’s History, the International Journal of Fashion Studies, American Journalism: Journal of Media History as well as The Washington Post The Conversation, Public Seminar, and Dismantle Magazine. Kathy Peiss is the Roy F. and Jeannette P. Nichols Professor of American History at the University of Pennsylvania. Her work explores modern American cultural history, gender and sexuality, consumer culture, and the history of books, libraries, and information. She is the author of "Information Hunters: When Librarians, Soldiers, and Spies Banded Together in World War II Europe," published by Oxford University Press in 2020. Other books include "Cheap Amusements: Working Women and Leisure in Turn-of-the-Century New York"(1986), "Hope in a Jar: The Making of America's Beauty Culture" (1998), and "Zoot Suit: The Enigmatic Career of an Extreme Style" (2011). She has also served as a consultant to museums, archives, and public history projects, and appeared in the documentary films New York, Miss America, and The Powder and the Glory.
