During this talk, Blair Ebony Smith will interactively engage her current exhibition on view at the Krannert Art Museum, Homemade With Love: More Living Room, a multimedia publicly engaged installation exploring Black girls, women, and femmes everyday interior life and creativity and what it means to make space for it, specifically in a museum context. Blair Ebony Smith is a post-doc fellow in art education with the Krannert Art Museum at the University of Illinois- Urbana-Champaign (2019-21). Her curatorial and artistic praxis is focused on Black girl celebration, Black feminist poetics, sound art, and design with Black girls locally and worldwide.
