All workshops for the Fall 2020 semester will be taught synchronously and online using Zoom. In order to attend our workshops, you will need a NetID assigned to you from UIUC and you will need to login to your Zoom account to "activate" it.

You may also request workshops for courses, graduate student study groups, and departmental events, etc. Workshop request are limited to sessions that will include at least five people. You can review a list of the Fall 2020 workshops including the descriptions. If you have questions, please contact savvyresearcher@library.illinois.edu

PLEASE NOTE: Registration must be completed the day before the workshop by 9:00 A.M. e.g., for a Thursday workshop, you must register by Wednesday at 9:00 A.M.. For Monday workshops, you will need to register by Friday at 9:00 A.M.

ATLAS.ti is a qualitative data analysis program that allows you to track large amounts of data in a meaningful and systematic way. It is designed to help manage and analyze non-numerical data. The goals of this workshop are to:

  1. Learn about the methodological principles behind ATLAS.ti
  2. Open ATLAS.ti software and import textual documents
  3. Understand the layout of the ATLAS.ti environment
  4. Learn the fundamental functions of ATLAS.ti for data description, exploration, analysis, and interpretation
  5. Learn how to print, save, and export output
