Abstract: Jensen Hughes is a global leader in safety, security and risk-based engineering and consulting. Our presenters Jeff Schappaugh, Kelsey Bear, and Demetrio Velazco work within the Risk Analysis group at Jensen Hughes, with their primary focus on providing consulting to the nuclear power industry. With continued global initiatives moving to clean, reliable and affordable energy, the nuclear power industry is focusing on increasing reliability and maintaining safety while eliminating unnecessary costs. Jensen Hughes uses risk insights to improve overall efficiency and increase safety to protect surrounding communities and the environment. They are actively involved with industry policy and research and can offer a range of solutions using risk-informed decision-making, experienced-based engineering and innovative software solutions. This session will discuss some of the recent projects Jensen Hughes has been involved in around the nuclear industry, as well as provide a deeper background on current and future risk-informed initiatives.
