Bio: Ponnuraj Krishnakumar obtained a BS in Mathematics and a BS in Physics from the University of Texas and then went onto the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign to obtain his Masters in Statistics and his PhD in Physics. While at the University of Illinois he was a Research Assistant at the Institute of Condensed Matter theory and presented his work on several occasions at the American Physical Society’s annual meetings. He has written several publications on topics such as the Cher-Simons theory of the magnetization plateaus of the spin-1/1 quantum XXZ Heisenberg model on Kagome Lattice, Chiral liquids on the Kagome Lattice, and Exact Diagonalization studies of magnetization plateaus in Kagome Lattice. After his internship at Akuna he was hired full time to work as a quantitative developer for the trading and research team. During his time at Akuna he has worked on options pricing models and in the research and development of automated trading strategies.
