Cindy Wilson is a Korean adoptee raised by African American parents in the Southern United States. While her journey of identity and self is peppered with stories of struggle, doubt, and discrimination, she has come to embrace her nontraditional upbringing and now empowers others to pursue their most authentic self. Identifying as Korean yet culturally Black, Cindy demonstrates the complexity of living in a world with labels and that it is possible to defy the boxes in which society often tries to place you.
