With the TEAACH Act now in place, it's time for Illinois educators to take the lead in teaching Asian American history in K-12 schools. Join us for our free one-day summer academy for teachers and librarians, hosted by the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, and become a leader in teaching Asian American history in your classrooms and libraries.
At this academy, you'll hear from expert speakers, gain valuable insight and knowledge on Asian American issues and history, and learn practical pedagogical tips. You'll also network with other educators and share best practices for culturally responsive teaching in classrooms and libraries.
The academy will take place at the College of Education on the UIUC campus, with Zoom/ hybrid capability to attend as well. The event is free, with lunch and refreshments provided. More information will be posted on our website. Don't miss this opportunity to empower your leadership capacity in teaching Asian American history. Save the date: August 1, 2023 for our TEAACH Summer Academy!
