The Ford Foundation seeks to increase diversity in higher education by offering the prestigious Ford Fellowships at the predoctoral, dissertation, and postdoctoral levels. This informational session will feature Dr. Aixa Alfonso, the Ford Foundation’s Regional Liaison and Associate Professor of Biological Sciences at the University of Illinois-Chicago along with a panel of Illinois Ford fellows. Come learn more about the mission of the Ford Foundation and how to best present your experience and qualifications in a competitive application. Note that applicants must be US citizens/nationals/permanent residents or have DACA status. Applications are especially welcome from students in ethnic groups underrepresented in higher education.
