I’m currently a Senior Engineering Manager at Medline Industries, L.P.  I graduated from University of Illinois in 2014 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Engineering and started immediately with Medline in the Operations Management Development Program (OMDP).

During my tenure as an OMDP (a 2 year program), I supported the warehouse management system and labor management system for 12 distribution centers as well as managed small to medium-scale projects.  These projects included labor improvements initiatives as well as new system enhancements.

At the end of my 2 years as an OMDP, I moved to Southern California to work directly in a distribution center as an Operations Supervisor.  Here I managed 35 hourly team members and processed customer orders daily.  This experience was invaluable since it involved learning key management tools, working directly with state of the art warehouse technology (Goods to person systems, print and apply, zone route, and case sortation), and gaining an in-depth understanding of the day to day of distribution.

After 2 years in California, I moved back to Chicago to rejoin the engineering team to work on large capital projects.  These projects included managing and designing the startup of new distribution centers, implementing new G2P systems and developing new Medline distribution strategy.

Currently I’m the engineering manager overseeing the OMDP program. Here I’m responsible for managing 7 OMDPs, evaluating the slotting strategy for all Medline distribution centers, overseeing the Medline labor management system, and forecasting staffing levels for each DC monthly.
