Damon graduated from the University of Illinois in 1994 with a B.S. in Systems Engineering and Design while focusing on business classes with his electives.

Directly after graduation he went through the 6-month technical and sales training program for Rockwell Automation/Allen-Bradley in Milwaukee.  He was fielded in Los Angeles for 5+ years and exceeded his sales quota each year.  While in LA, Damon was promoted to Senior Sales Engineer and supported clients such as Nestle, Disney, Universal Studios, Solar Turbines, and Anheuser-Busch.

Damon then joined JDSU (now Viavi) - a leader in fiber optic and telecommunications testing equipment.  After having a successful couple of years supporting the Verizon relationship, he was promoted to the National Account Manager role focusing on Verizon Wireless.  Damon was instrumental in getting many new JDSU products approved at Verizon Wireless, increased the annual revenue to over $10M per year, and led a team of five sales engineers

Switching industries, Damon joined Green Street - offering best-in-class real estate and financial market intelligence.  He started as the Marketing Director in 2006 leading a team that created a mentoring program, started the annual internship to hire concept, and conceived various sales incentive plans . Damon became a Managing Director within three years and led various sales and marketing teams while helping to increase revenues by over 5X.  The global sales and marketing team grew to over 50 members and worked with the industry’s leading commercial real estate firms such as BofA, ADIA, Blackstone, CPPIB, Goldman Sachs, and Brookfield.

Damon decided to take some time off at the end of 2020 to recharge and spend time with family and friends.  He enjoys skiing with his three teenage sons, going on hikes with his wife, coaching youth sports teams, and playing basketball.
