Stephanie Ziegle is an Academy Supervisory Patent Examiner Trainer in the Office of Patent Training (OPT) at the United States Patent and Trademark Office. Stephanie graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in General Engineering with a minor in Business from the University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana in 2007. She joined the United States Patent and Trademark Office in September of 2007 and worked in Technology Center 3600 examining Business Methods Banking, Finance, and Insurance patent applications. She became a primary examiner in TC 3600 in 2014. Stephanie served on career development details as a Trainer in both TC 3600 and the Patent Training Academy. Stephanie has been in her current role as an Academy Supervisory Patent Examiner Trainer in the Office of Patent Training since June of 2018, where her primary duties include supervising, training and mentoring new patent examiners, trainers and managers.
