Abstract

As members of the Grainger College of Engineering community, we are committed to serving society through our contributions to world-class research and the creation of knowledge and understanding. Our commitment to innovative research obligates us to maintain the highest standards of research integrity, and we acknowledge the mutual trust among researchers and the trust invested in us by the public. Responsible research requires implementing appropriate research methods, acknowledging conflicts of interest, protecting human and animal subjects, supporting laboratory safety, following best practices in research publication, promoting positive research environments, and effectively addressing violations of research standards.  In this interactive session we will review several case studies together to emphasize the importance of the responsible conduct of research on our campus.
