Current Applications of Aerosol Research

Expertise in atmospheric aerosols can be used to address a broad range of current scientific and societal challenges.   In this seminar, Dr. Brooks will discuss her research group’s work involving laboratory and field measurements of aerosols as catalysts for atmospheric ice nucleation processes.  Following that, the results of a recent project on aerosol penetration through various candidate DIY face mask materials for protection against COVID-19 will be presented.
