Tony Zhu, Senior Analyst at Clean Energy Trust (CET), will discuss how CET can assist startups and how businesses can consider venture capital early on.

Future industry-leading businesses are being started every day, and it's now easier than ever to launch a startup from scratch. But taking the next step and raising early-stage venture dollars has become increasingly complex and nuanced. While it's tempting for founders to power forward with a vision and worry about fundraising prep later, it's important to keep in mind what future investors like to see in order to ensure a startup's sustainability.

As Senior Analyst at CET, Tony supports the firm's venture investment, deal sourcing, fundraising, and portfolio reporting activities in the Midwest's early-stage, cleantech startup ecosystem. He primarily focuses on assessing cleantech market opportunities, evaluating startup pitches, and helping CET's portfolio companies raise follow-on capital.
