We’re continuing our local user group to foster collaboration and learning in the area of data science. This session will be focused on the path to becoming a professional data scientist. William Biscarri is a PhD student in Statistics at UIUC who will be starting as a full-time data scientist at Capital One in the fall. William will be presenting on his experience going through the interview process for a data scientist role. Then we'll hear from Mithilesh Nanj, who has been a full-time data scientist at Verizon Media for over a year. He'll detail what life is like as a data scientist and also give info from TechCrunch's AI Summit. This event is free to attend and lunch will be provided, so please RSVP at the CU-DSUG Meetup Page.
