Join ChambanaMoms, Krannert Center, and other community partners for a virtual sing-along event, a collaborative effort to lift spirits and celebrate resilience! Community members are invited to visit Facebook.com/ChambanaMoms at 4pm on Saturday, April 25, to participate in a lively sing-along of the beloved Sesame Street classic “Sing!” Brandon T. Washington, local musician and music educator, will lead a heartwarming rendition of this 1971 song as families and individuals are encouraged to tune in and sing out from their sidewalks, driveways, windows, or balconies. Families are invited to submit a video of their participation to the Facebook event as well.
Music educators in both Champaign Unit 4 School District and Urbana School District #116 will distribute lyrics and music via their remote learning efforts to ensure that families in those districts have access to the song in advance.
